The Engaged Tracking Foundation (formerly known as the Environmental Investment Organisation) is a UK-registered not-for-profit ‘think-and-do-tank’ dedicated to accelerating the shift to a low carbon, more circular and sustainable economy.
It operates a model of developing and supporting initiatives that seek to implement this objective.
The Engaged Tracking Foundation was the incubating think tank behind the Engaged Tracking concept, which is now being implemented by Engaged Tracking. Engaged Tracking is a specialist provider of climate-related data, actionable insights and tailored low carbon investment strategies to institutional investors. It is responsible for producing the ET Carbon Rankings each year which publicly score the world’s largest listed companies according to their greenhouse gas emissions. The rankings are designed to encourage companies to lower emissions and to improve their disclosure.
The Engaged Tracking Foundation is now primarily focused on supporting the “Interdependence blueprint” – a plan to fund the rapid scale up of climate solutions, invest in local renewable energy and sustainable food production infrastructure, create meaningful jobs and new ways for people to participate in the low carbon transition.
As part of its work in supporting the “Interdependence blueprint”, the Engaged Tracking Foundation is sponsoring and administering the a series of Global Sustainable Leadership and Climate Change focused Internship & Volunteering Programmes, launching in June 2019. These programmes are designed to train the next generation of sustainability-focused leaders and practitioners to help accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world.
1) To develop and support initiatives designed to accelerate the shift to a low carbon, more circular and sustainable economy. The Engaged Tracking Foundation’s flagship project to date has been the incubation of Engaged Tracking, a specialist provider of climate-related data, analytics and low carbon investment strategies to institutional investors.
2) To support climate change adaptation measures that increase climate change resilience. The Engaged Tracking Foundation’s core focus today is supporting the Interdependence Agency in scaling its blueprint to fund a global network of climate resilient community infrastructure.
